2015 -Deer Ridge/Queensland Community Clean up – Sunday June 21, 2015 from 9 – 2 pm at Queensland Community Centre

Come out and “Dump your Junk” at the Queensland Community Centre on June 21,2015. Volunteer to help the Deer Ridge CA walk our community parks and green spaces collecting the debris left over the winter months. Please contact Deer Ridge CA at deerridgeca@gmail.com for more information.

Deer Ridge Skate – Thank-you!

We would like to thank all of those that attended the Deer Ridge Winter Skate on January 10, 2015. It was a great afternoon at the Deer Ridge Community Ice Rinks. Those who attended enjoyed free hotdogs and hot chocolate along with the two of the BEST ice surfaces in the city (compliments to the rink volunteers). Thank you all for making the Deer Ridge Winter Skate a wonderful afternoon!

Thanks to Mr. Miller and his crew for the best natural ice in the City.

A huge thank you to Mr. Miller and his crew for all the time and effort went into clearing snow, flooding and maintenance of the Deer Ridge Hockey Rink and the Pleasure Rink tonight. Six hours of snow blowing, scraping, shoveling and flooding to get the ice back into shape for regular use tomorrow.

Stop motion video of the Yellow Slide Playscape build in Deer Ridge – Filmed and Produced by Propellus

A very unique and interesting perspective of the Yellow Slide Playscape build in Deer Ridge. When you are involved in the build it is difficult to appreciate all of the teamwork that happens and fully understand the sequence of events as they continue to unfold. Propellus filmed this stop motion video throughout the 4 days of the Yellow Slide Park playscape build and showed us that when we work together amazing things can happen. Our sincere thanks to Propellus for their help in organizing the Corporate Volunteers (those energetic and hardworking geoLOGIC Systems volunteers) and their commitment to the making of this great stop motion video. We could not have accomplished what we did without their help and we can’t thank them enough.
