Fundraising Casino

On Wednesday, January 15th and Thursday 16th, 2025, we held a successful fundraising casino. The event was held at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino.

We had thirty-one volunteers committed to the event. Many thanks to: Bob, Troy, Andrea, Yasmine, Kyra, Kathy, Angela, Larry B, Gilberto, Chris, Julie, Collette, Gord K, Diane, Nigel, Drew, Tracy, Karen G, Richard, Gord M, Don, Heather, Cydney, Eric, Cory, Michelle, Brandon, Leanna, Gertrud, and Carol.

Fundraising casino events held in Alberta are divided into four quarters of the year. Our event was held in the first quarter. A portion of monies received by casinos in the Calgary area is pooled and all licensed charity/non-profit groups receive equally allocated funds from the pool within the quarter. For example, in 2023 we received approximately $ 77,000.

This funding is essential for maintenance of facilities, new projects, events, and future programs in the community.
