Deer Ridge Community Association is scheduled for our fundraising casino on October 14th & 15th at Cash Casino (4040 Blackfoot Trail SE).
We need to fill the following positions or our casino will be cancelled!
Thursday Oct 14 evening shift 7:00 pm – 3:30 am 2 chiprunners
Thursday Oct 14 Count room 11 pm – 3:30 am 2 positions.
Training is provided for the many available shifts. Meals are no expense to the volunteer and transportation is available if needed. The funds we receive from the event go towards maintenance of our rinks, tennis courts, operating expenses, and future projects/programs.

- find out about Deer Ridge Community Association’s operations and finances,
- meet with municipal and provincial representatives.

At the meeting, resident Deer Ridge Community Association members will be asked to vote on:
- accepting the minutes of the last annual general meeting
- accepting the audited 2020 Year-End Financials
- appointing an auditor of 2021 Year-End Financials
- nominating and electing directors
- vote on other motions such as:
- funds for annual insurance renewal,
- funds for Movie at Yellow Slide Park event,
- painting of Pickleball court lines at Tennis Courts.
Nominations are open for Directors-at-Large, 2nd Vice-President, Secretary, and President.

The leisure skating rink has been temporarily re-purposed for the season. Lines are painted for two pickleball courts.
The courts are located at 155 Deermont Way S.E. next to the community gardens.
Thank-you to Bob, Noel and Glenn for painting of the lines, construction of the nets, and helping to bring this popular sport into the community. We look forward to getting feedback from the community! If you would like more information about the sport, please visit Calgary Pickle Ball Club.
At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held at Deer Park United Church, Tuesday, September 21st, 2021, 7:00pm – 9:00pm, the Deer Ridge Community Association will determine by popular vote if it is the will of the membership to paint permanent lines for Pickleball on one of the Tennis Courts located on Deer Ridge SE. Deer Ridge residents with a current membership have voting privileges at the AGM. Note: Memberships purchased in 2020 or prior to July 2021 expire August 31, 2021. If you intend vote, please renew/apply for your membership in advance.
