The Family Skate event scheduled has been cancelled.
Both rinks continue to be available for public skating and our dedicated volunteers continue to maintain the ice. Please observe public health orders and play safe.

Deer Ridge Community Association 
I’ll assume that it wasn’t thought possible to maintain public health recommendations for such as Family Event though that wasn’t explicitly expressed. I might mention that last Sunday when the weather relaxed, the community rink was quite packed. Masks weren’t worn nor distancing observed. People were clearly having a great time, but if this disease is quite as easily spread as seems thought, the use of the rink was a perfect invitation to infection. So just how is the association to respond to such inevitable occurrences?
