Sikome Lake Redevelopment Plan in Fish Creek Provincial Park #yyc #DeerRidge

Alberta Parks is seeking input from the public and stakeholders on a draft redevelopment plan, vision, concept design, and programming options for the Sikome Aquatic Facility in Fish Creek Provincial Park.
Sikome is an artificial waterbody located within Fish Creek Provincial Park in the City of Calgary that serves as a public swimming area during the summer months. Sikome is currently open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Monday through Sunday) during the summer months (e.g. mid-June to early September).

Public Comment

The 30-day public input period for Phase 2 of the Sikome Aquatic Facility Redevelopment Plan project is open from April 25 to May 24, 2018.

What Happens After Public Comment

Alberta Parks will compile all feedback from the public and stakeholders obtained during the consultation period. A decision regarding the project will consider all feedback. A Phase 2 Engagement “What We Heard” report and the final redevelopment plan and concept design will be posted on this webpage at once a decision has been made about the project.
